How To Handle "Needs Attention" Status for Copyrights
When filing musical copyrights with Song Safety, there may be instances where we need additional information to complete your copyright filing successfully. If this occurs, you will be notified in three places that your copyright "needs attention," and we require more information.
Notifications:
Dashboard Status Update:
- Your copyright status will change to "Needs Attention" on the dashboard if we need more information on your copyright.
Email Notification:
- You will receive an email asking you to connect with us via chat for more information on your copyright.
Dashboard Notification:
- A notification will appear in the dashboard notification section, informing you that more information is needed to file your copyright.
Steps to Provide Additional Information:
Check Notifications:
- Regularly check your dashboard and email for any updates or notifications regarding your copyright status.
Connect via Chat:
- Reach out to us using the chat feature icon on the dashboard. This allows us to capture the necessary information quickly and efficiently.
- Click the chat icon located at the bottom right of the copyright dashboard screen
- Start chatting with a member of our team:
Provide Required Information:
- During the chat, provide the information requested by our support team. This information is essential for us to complete your copyright filing process.
Confirm Submission:
- After providing the required information, our team will review and proceed with your copyright filing.
- Once we have everything, we'll move the status back to "In Progress."
